Description

A delightful appetizer featuring toasted baguette slices topped with creamy brie, crisp apple slices, crunchy walnuts, and a sweet and spiced maple cinnamon butter.

For the Crust:

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
  • 4 oz brie cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1 large apple (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden and crisp.
  2. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, maple syrup, and cinnamon until well combined. Spread a thin layer of the maple cinnamon butter onto each toasted baguette slice.
  3. Top each crostini with a slice of brie, a few apple slices, and a sprinkle of chopped walnuts.
  4. Return crostini to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the brie is slightly melted.
  5. Remove from oven, sprinkle with a pinch of salt if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
