A gourmet sandwich featuring tender applewood smoked turkey, melted cheese, and a sweet-tart cranberry whiskey glaze, grilled to perfection.

For the Crust:
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 1 lb applewood smoked turkey slices
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 2 tbsp whiskey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a small saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, whiskey, and Dijon mustard. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring until smooth. Set aside.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice. On the non-mayonnaise side of 4 slices, layer turkey, provolone cheese, and a spoonful of cranberry whiskey glaze. Top with remaining bread slices, mayonnaise side out.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Butter the outside of each sandwich. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, until bread is golden and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
