For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and orange zest. Cook over medium heat until cranberries burst and mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Let cool.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly. Place brie in center, top with cranberry compote, and wrap pastry around brie, sealing edges. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until pastry is golden brown. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
