Description

A warm, gooey brie and sweet-tart cranberry sauce baked inside a crusty bread bowl, perfect for sharing as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 round loaf sourdough bread (about 810 inches in diameter)
  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice off the top of the bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell.
  2. Place the brie wheel inside the hollowed bread bowl. Spread cranberry sauce over the brie, then drizzle with honey and sprinkle with thyme and walnuts if using.
  3. Place the bread lid back on top. Wrap the entire loaf in foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the brie is melted and bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
