Description

A sweet and savory baked pear dish featuring tart cranberries, crunchy walnuts, rich blue cheese, and a drizzle of honey.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cranberries, walnuts, blue cheese, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Spoon mixture into pear cavities.
  3. Drizzle honey over the pears and filling. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until pears are tender.
  4. Serve warm, optionally with extra honey or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
