Description

A sweet and savory baked pear dish with tart cranberries, crunchy walnuts, and creamy blue cheese, all drizzled with honey for a perfect balance of flavors.

For the Crust:

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix cranberries, walnuts, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Spoon mixture into pear cavities.
  3. Drizzle honey over pears and filling. Bake for 25-30 minutes until pears are tender.
  4. Remove from oven, sprinkle with blue cheese, and let cool slightly before serving.
