A decadent fusion dessert combining creamy pistachio cheesecake with the flaky, honey-sweetened layers of traditional baklava.

For the Crust:
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 8 sheets phyllo dough
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix chopped pistachios, honey, melted butter, and cinnamon. Layer 4 phyllo sheets in the pan, brushing each with butter, then spread half the pistachio mixture. Repeat with remaining phyllo and mixture.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and sour cream. Pour over phyllo layers.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until set. Cool completely, then chill for 4 hours. Garnish with chopped pistachios and drizzle with honey before serving.
