Description

A festive side dish featuring roasted Brussels sprouts tossed in a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze, studded with dried cranberries and crunchy walnuts.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway, until tender and lightly browned.
  3. While sprouts roast, combine balsamic vinegar and honey in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Transfer roasted sprouts to a bowl. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, add cranberries and walnuts, and toss to coat. Garnish with thyme if desired.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
