For the Crust:
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup blackberry jam
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix in sugar, melted butter, eggs, flour, and salt to form a dough. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread blackberry jam evenly, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll tightly from the long edge.
- Cut into 12 slices and place in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
