Description

A gourmet twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring creamy brie and sweet blackberry jam between buttery, golden bread.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup blackberry jam
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Spread blackberry jam evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer brie slices and sprinkle with fresh thyme on the jam-covered side of 4 bread slices, then top with remaining bread slices, jam side in.
  3. Butter the outer sides of each sandwich generously.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
