Description

A buttery puff pastry holds creamy brie and sweet caramelized pears, creating a cozy and elegant appetizer perfect for fall feasts and wine nights.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 wheel brie cheese (8 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet. Place brie wheel in the center and arrange pear slices around and on top of the brie.
  3. Drizzle honey over pears and brie, then sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. Fold pastry edges over the filling, pleating as needed.
  4. Brush pastry with egg wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  5. Let cool 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
