For the Crust:
- 1 loaf crusty Italian bread, sliced
- 2 large ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1 ball burrata cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
- In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Place a spoonful of the tomato mixture on each toasted bread slice. Top with a piece of burrata cheese and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
