For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, melted butter, chili flakes, and salt until crumbly. Press into the baking dish.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. While baking, combine honey, brown sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  5. Remove base from oven, drizzle with honey mixture, and sprinkle with pecans. Bake for another 10 minutes.
  6. Let cool before slicing and serving.
