For the Crust:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light. Mix in flour and salt to form a crumbly dough. Press evenly into the pan. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
- Pour fudge mixture over the baked crust. Sprinkle toasted pecans evenly on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes until set. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
