For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add apple slices, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Spread caramel sauce evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Layer brie slices and caramelized apples on top.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly from one long end to the other, sealing the edge with egg wash. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with egg wash.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Let cool for 5 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
