Description

Soft, chewy cookies loaded with cinnamon-spiced apples and drizzled with silky caramel.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup finely chopped apple
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in chopped apple.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  6. Cool on wire racks, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
