For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup finely chopped apple
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in chopped apple.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on wire racks, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
