For the Crust:
- 2 ripe pears, cored and sliced

- 6 cups mixed salad greens
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add pear slices and brown sugar, cooking until pears are tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine salad greens, red onion, toasted walnuts, and crumbled blue cheese.
- Whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a small bowl to make the vinaigrette.
- Add the caramelized pears to the salad bowl, drizzle with vinaigrette, and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
