A vibrant salad featuring sweet caramelized pears, creamy ricotta, peppery arugula, and crunchy maple-glazed walnuts, all tossed in a light vinaigrette.

For the Crust:
- 2 ripe pears, cored and sliced
- 4 cups fresh arugula
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add pear slices and cook until caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, toast walnuts with maple syrup until glazed and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Let cool.
- Whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
- In a large bowl, toss arugula with the dressing until evenly coated.
- Top the arugula with caramelized pears, maple-glazed walnuts, and dollops of ricotta cheese. Serve immediately.
