Description

Sweet and savory caramelized persimmon rounds topped with creamy brie, crunchy walnuts, and a drizzle of spicy hot honey.

For the Crust:

  • 2 ripe Fuyu persimmons, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp hot honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Arrange persimmon rounds in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until caramelized.
  2. Top each persimmon round with a slice of brie and allow to melt slightly. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  3. Drizzle with hot honey and garnish with fresh thyme and a pinch of sea salt. Serve warm.
