For the Crust:
- 12 fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)
- Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into each jalapeño half, mounding slightly. Top with crumbled bacon if using.
- Arrange stuffed jalapeños on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, garnish with cilantro, and serve warm.
