Description

A quick and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender chicken, crisp bell peppers, and a spicy, savory sauce, served over rice for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and sesame oil. Toss to coat and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over cooked rice, garnished with green onions.
