Description
A quick and healthy stir-fry featuring tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a savory sauce, served over fluffy rice.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and sesame oil to make the savory sauce. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add chicken pieces and stir-fry until cooked through and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same wok, add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender. Add garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Return chicken to the wok. Pour the savory sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the stir-fry hot over cooked white rice. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
