Description

A savory, aromatic bread topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

For the Crust:

  • 1 loaf French bread or baguette
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
  2. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic with olive oil. Brush the mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  3. Sprinkle diced tomatoes and chopped basil over the bread, then top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
  5. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
