Description

A quick and cheesy open-faced sandwich that combines creamy cottage cheese with melted mozzarella for a satisfying, protein-packed meal.

For the Crust:

  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven broiler to high and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the bread slices on the prepared baking sheet and toast lightly under the broiler for 1-2 minutes per side.
  3. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spread the cottage cheese mixture evenly over each toasted bread slice.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the cottage cheese layer.
  6. Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
