For the Crust:
- 4 slices of whole grain bread
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven broiler to high and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the bread slices on the prepared baking sheet and toast lightly under the broiler for 1-2 minutes per side.
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread the cottage cheese mixture evenly over each toasted bread slice.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the cottage cheese layer.
- Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
