Description

A warm and comforting dessert featuring tender spiced apples topped with a buttery oat crumble and drizzled with rich caramel sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss apple slices with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, and brown sugar. Stir in melted butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until topping is golden and apples are tender.
  5. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
