Melted Brie meets tart cranberry in this festive masterpiece!


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry into a 12-inch square. Use a snowflake-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes, or cut into 4-inch squares.
  3. Place half of the pastry shapes on the baking sheet. Top each with slices of Brie and a spoonful of cranberry sauce.
  4. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg, then place the remaining pastry shapes on top. Press edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with egg wash, sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
