A festive and elegant appetizer featuring flaky puff pastry, creamy brie, sweet-tart cranberry maple sauce, and crunchy toasted pecans.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry sheet and cut into star shapes using a cookie cutter. Place half the stars on the baking sheet.
  3. Top each star with a few cubes of brie, a small spoonful of cranberry sauce, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
  4. Place a second star on top of each filled star, pressing edges gently to seal. Brush tops with egg wash.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until puffed and golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle with toasted pecans. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
