A festive and elegant appetizer featuring flaky puff pastry, creamy brie, sweet-tart cranberry maple sauce, and crunchy toasted pecans.

For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry sheet and cut into star shapes using a cookie cutter. Place half the stars on the baking sheet.
- Top each star with a few cubes of brie, a small spoonful of cranberry sauce, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
- Place a second star on top of each filled star, pressing edges gently to seal. Brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until puffed and golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle with toasted pecans. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
