For the Crust:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, warm milk, eggs, butter, and salt. Knead until a smooth dough forms, about 8-10 minutes. Let rise in a greased bowl until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Roll dough into a 12×18-inch rectangle. Mix cranberries, pistachios, brown sugar, and cinnamon; spread evenly over dough. Roll tightly from the long side, then slice lengthwise and twist the two halves together.
- Form the twist into a wreath shape on a baking sheet. Let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden. Cool slightly.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make a glaze. Drizzle over the cooled babka wreath before serving.
