Flaky puff pastry stars filled with gooey brie, sweet cranberries, and crunchy pistachios—a festive, show-stopping appetizer for any party.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 wheel brie cheese (8 oz), rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Flour for dusting
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out puff pastry. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out stars, re-rolling scraps as needed.
  3. Place half the stars on the baking sheet. Top each with a cube of brie, a few cranberries, and pistachios. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush edges of starred bases with egg wash. Place remaining stars on top, pressing edges to seal.
  5. Brush tops with egg wash. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden and puffed. Serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
