Description

This creamy Cajun shrimp steak is pure indulgence on a plate. Perfect for date night or when you want something special.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 8 oz each)
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt, pepper, and 1 tbsp of Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  2. In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add the shrimp and remaining 1 tbsp of Cajun seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 2 tbsp of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Spoon the creamy shrimp and sauce over the rested steaks. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
