A comforting and hearty dish featuring tender chicken and earthy mushrooms in a rich, creamy sauce, baked to golden perfection.

For the Crust:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onions and mushrooms. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then return chicken to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
