A rich and comforting side dish featuring tender sweet potatoes baked in a creamy garlic butter sauce, perfect for holidays or cozy dinners.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, heavy cream, Parmesan, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange sweet potato slices in layers in the baking dish, pouring some of the cream mixture between each layer.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
