Description

A comforting pasta dish featuring tender chicken and earthy mushrooms in a rich, creamy garlic sauce.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and cook until softened and browned, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and thyme, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Return chicken and cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for 2 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
