For the Crust:
- 8 oz brie cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce or jam
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Place a small dollop of cranberry sauce on each brie cube, pressing gently to adhere.
- Dredge each brie cube in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat thoroughly in panko mixed with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C) and fry bombs in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately while warm and gooey inside.
