Description

Golden, flaky phyllo pastry wrapped around creamy feta cheese, baked until crispy, and drizzled with a sweet and spicy honey sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 8 sheets phyllo pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lay one sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean surface, brush lightly with melted butter, and place another sheet on top. Repeat with two more sheets to create a stack of four.
  3. Sprinkle half of the feta cheese and parsley along one long edge of the phyllo stack, season with salt and pepper, then roll tightly into a log. Repeat with remaining phyllo sheets and filling.
  4. Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet, brush tops with remaining butter, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. While baking, warm honey in a small saucepan over low heat, stir in red pepper flakes and garlic powder, and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Drizzle spicy honey over baked rolls just before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
