For the Crust:
- 1 large flatbread or naan
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
- 1/2 cup apple jelly or apple butter
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp hot pepper jelly or 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix apple jelly, cinnamon, and hot pepper jelly or red pepper flakes to create the spread. Spread evenly over the flatbread.
- Arrange brie slices on top of the spread, then sprinkle with cranberries and toasted walnuts. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the flatbread is crispy and the brie is melted. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.
