An elegant, easy-to-make appetizer featuring crispy flatbread topped with creamy brie, sweet fig jam, and crunchy roasted walnuts.

For the Crust:
- 1 large flatbread or naan
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup fig jam
- 1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Honey for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
- Arrange brie slices evenly over the flatbread. Bake for 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are crispy.
- While baking, toast walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Set aside.
- Remove flatbread from oven. Spoon fig jam over the melted brie, then sprinkle with toasted walnuts and thyme.
- Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Drizzle with honey if desired. Slice and serve warm.
