Description

A gourmet flatbread featuring crispy crust, creamy melted brie, sweet homemade pear jam, and crunchy pistachio dust for an elegant appetizer or light meal.

For the Crust:

  • 1 large flatbread or naan
  • 200g brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 ripe pears, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes until slightly crispy.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine pears, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pears break down into a jam-like consistency. Let cool slightly.
  3. Spread pear jam evenly over the pre-baked flatbread. Arrange brie slices on top.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes until brie is melted and flatbread edges are golden and crispy.
  5. While baking, toast pistachios in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes, then finely chop or crush into a dust.
  6. Remove flatbread from oven, drizzle with honey, sprinkle with pistachio dust and fresh thyme. Season with a pinch of salt if desired.
  7. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
