For the Crust:
- 1 large flatbread or naan
- 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange apple slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Roast for 15 minutes until tender.
- Place flatbread on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until crispy.
- Spread ricotta evenly over the flatbread. Top with roasted apple slices and chopped walnuts.
- In a small saucepan, warm honey and red pepper flakes over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Drizzle the hot honey over the flatbread.
- Slice and serve immediately.
