A simple and delicious dessert that captures the classic flavors of pecan pie in easy-to-make bar form, perfect for holidays or gatherings.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, softened butter, and granulated sugar until crumbly. Press evenly into the prepared pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. Pour pecan mixture over the baked crust, spreading evenly. Return to oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until set.
  6. Let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
