For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet. Spread cream cheese evenly down the center third of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border at top and bottom.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and green onions over the cream cheese.
- Cut diagonal strips along both sides of the filling. Fold strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided effect.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle generously with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until pastry is golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
