A stunning, savory brunch centerpiece featuring flaky puff pastry, cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, and everything bagel seasoning.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet. Spread cream cheese evenly down the center third of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border at top and bottom.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and green onions over the cream cheese.
  4. Cut diagonal strips along both sides of the filling. Fold strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided effect.
  5. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle generously with everything bagel seasoning.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until pastry is golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
