Description

A deliciously sweet and savory flatbread topped with creamy brie, caramelized onions, fresh figs, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 large pre-made flatbread or pizza crust
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 4 fresh figs, sliced
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft, about 10 minutes. Stir in brown sugar and cook until caramelized, about 5 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread caramelized onions evenly over the flatbread. Top with brie slices and fresh fig slices.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until cheese is melted and edges are golden.
  5. Remove from oven, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and sprinkle with fresh thyme. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
