For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet and sprinkle evenly with crumbled feta cheese and black pepper.
- Fold the pastry in half lengthwise and cut into 1-inch strips. Twist each strip and place on the baking sheet.
- Brush the twists with beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Drizzle with hot honey and sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if using) while still warm.
