Description

Elegant, flaky pastry roses filled with creamy brie and sweet-tart cranberry sauce, perfect for holiday appetizers or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry sheet and cut into 2-inch wide strips. Spread a thin layer of cranberry sauce along each strip, then place brie cubes evenly on top.
  3. Fold each strip in half lengthwise, enclosing the filling. Starting at one end, roll the strip tightly to form a rose shape. Place on the baking sheet.
  4. Brush each pastry rose with egg wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
