Description
Elegant, flaky pastry roses filled with creamy brie and sweet-tart cranberry sauce, perfect for holiday appetizers or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry sheet and cut into 2-inch wide strips. Spread a thin layer of cranberry sauce along each strip, then place brie cubes evenly on top.
- Fold each strip in half lengthwise, enclosing the filling. Starting at one end, roll the strip tightly to form a rose shape. Place on the baking sheet.
- Brush each pastry rose with egg wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
