Description

A delightful appetizer featuring buttery puff pastry topped with creamy brie, sweet-tart cranberries, and crunchy toasted walnuts.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges without cutting all the way through.
  3. Brush the pastry border with the beaten egg. Arrange brie slices evenly inside the border, then sprinkle with cranberries and walnuts.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden. Drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
