For the Crust:
- 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz), chilled and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a shallow bowl, mix flour with salt, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dip each brie cube first into the seasoned flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the coated brie cubes in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately while the cheese is molten, garnished with fresh parsley.
