For the Crust:
- 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
- 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add apple slices and brown sugar, cooking until apples are tender and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Stir in thyme leaves.
- Roll out puff pastry and place brie in the center. Top brie with caramelized apples.
- Wrap puff pastry around brie, sealing edges. Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until pastry is golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
