A warm, gooey baked brie topped with sweet caramelized apples and fragrant thyme, perfect for an elegant appetizer or cozy snack.

For the Crust:

  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Crackers or sliced baguette for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place brie wheel in a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in thyme leaves, then spoon the caramelized apple mixture over the top of the brie.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until brie is soft and golden. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving with crackers or baguette.
