For the Crust:
- 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
- 2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Crackers or sliced baguette for serving
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place brie wheel in a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in thyme leaves, then spoon the caramelized apple mixture over the top of the brie.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until brie is soft and golden. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving with crackers or baguette.
