Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add cold water, mixing until dough forms. Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Cut dough into small squares or circles and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While pastries bake, heat heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan until sugars dissolve. Let cool slightly.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over baked pastries, then spoon the cream mixture over the top. Serve warm.
