For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add cold water, mixing until dough forms. Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Cut dough into small squares or circles and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- While pastries bake, heat heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan until sugars dissolve. Let cool slightly.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over baked pastries, then spoon the cream mixture over the top. Serve warm.
