Description

A comforting and indulgent dish featuring golden pan-seared chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy sauce, topped with crispy bacon and melted cheese, perfect for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.
  3. Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the skillet, scraping up any browned bits. Bring to a simmer, then stir in heavy cream. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the chicken. Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for 10-12 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
  6. Garnish with crispy bacon and chopped parsley before serving.
